Medan, 4 February 2026 – The Faculty of Vocational Education of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held an event to introduce the Acting Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni to Structural Officials and Expert Staff. The activity, which took place at Building B of the Faculty of Vocational Education, aimed to strengthen coordination as well as align the vision in the implementation of duties and the future development of the faculty.
The Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education of USU, Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia, SE., ME, expressed hope that with the presence of the Acting Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni (Acting Vice Dean I), coordination and performance within the Faculty of Vocational Education would become increasingly solid. She hoped that synergy among units could continue to be enhanced for the advancement of the faculty and the provision of the best services for students.
On this occasion, the Acting Vice Dean I, Dr. Solahuddin Nasution, S.E., M.SP, who also concurrently serves as Secretary of the D-III Tourism Travel Study Program/D-IV Tourism Business Management, conveyed an overview of the direction of academic affairs, plans to improve the quality of learning, as well as strategies to strengthen collaboration among units within the Faculty of Vocational Education of USU. He emphasized the importance of effective communication, transparency, and cross-sector collaboration to support the achievement of academic and non-academic targets.
The event took place in a warm and interactive atmosphere, with the attending leaders and expert staff welcoming the presence of the Acting Vice Dean I and expressing their commitment to work together in encouraging the advancement of the Faculty of Vocational Education of USU.
Through this introduction, it is expected that internal coordination will become increasingly solid and that each unit will be able to work more optimally in providing quality academic and professional services for students and the community.
