Medan, 30 June 2026 – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), continues to strengthen effective, transparent, and accountable financial governance through a Coordination and Financial Management Assistance Program conducted in collaboration with USU's Directorate of Finance. The activity took place in Room 203, Building B, Faculty of Vocational Education. It was attended by the Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Academic Infrastructure of the Faculty of Vocational Education, the Head of the Personnel and Finance Subdivision, the faculty's finance staff, the Secretary to the Director of USU's Directorate of Finance, and staff members from the Directorate of Finance.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Yasmin Chairunisa Muchtar, S.P., MBA, Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Academic Infrastructure of the Faculty of Vocational Education, stated that the coordination and assistance program is a strategic initiative to align perspectives and strengthen synergy in financial management within the faculty. Through this activity, all financial management processes are expected to comply with applicable regulations while supporting improved institutional performance and governance.

During the discussion session, Hasnul Arief Fikri, Secretary to the Director of USU's Directorate of Finance, expressed his appreciation for the Faculty of Vocational Education's commitment to establishing orderly and accountable financial management. He emphasized the importance of continuous coordination between the faculty and the Directorate of Finance to ensure that administrative processes and budget implementation are carried out effectively, on schedule, and in accordance with prevailing regulations.

Hasnul Arief Fikri also provided several recommendations, including the need to enhance accuracy in preparing and reporting financial administration, strengthen communication among financial management personnel, and conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of budget implementation. According to him, sound financial management should not only focus on administrative compliance but also support the achievement of the faculty's performance targets and strategic programs.

The assistance session was conducted interactively through discussions and presentations covering various aspects of financial management, including administrative procedures, budget implementation, and strategies to improve the effectiveness and accountability of financial governance at the faculty level.

Through this activity, the Faculty of Vocational Education and USU's Directorate of Finance reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening coordination and collaboration in promoting professional, transparent, and accountable financial governance in support of Universitas Sumatera Utara's vision of becoming a leading and globally competitive university.
