Medan, 2 February 2026 – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a Preparatory Meeting for LAM Accreditation and the Synchronization of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) at Classroom 307, Building B, Faculty of Vocational Education, USU. The meeting was attended by the Faculty leadership, Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs, the Quality Assurance Unit (GJM), Quality Control Groups (GKM), lecturers, and administrative staff.
The meeting aimed to align perceptions and strengthen coordination among units in preparation for the LAM accreditation process, while also ensuring the alignment of SPMI implementation at both faculty and study program levels. In her opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education USU, Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia, SE., M.E., emphasized the importance of document readiness, data consistency, and the active involvement of all members of the academic community in supporting continuous quality improvement.

The meeting agenda included a presentation on the latest LAM accreditation policies and instruments, an evaluation of the accreditation document readiness for each study program, and a discussion on mechanisms to synchronize the SPMI cycle, which encompasses the stages of determination, implementation, evaluation, control, and improvement (PPEPP). The discussion was conducted interactively, with a focus on gap mapping, task allocation, and the establishment of timelines for document completion.
Through this meeting, it is expected that all study programs will develop a shared understanding of LAM accreditation standards and be able to integrate them effectively into the internal quality assurance system. The Faculty remains committed to continuously enhancing governance quality and academic standards to achieve excellent and sustainable accreditation outcomes.
