Medan, 13 January 2026 – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), organized a Socialization of Bank Sumut Service Programs at Building B of the Faculty of Vocational Education, USU. This activity aimed to provide the academic community with a comprehensive understanding of the various banking services offered by Bank Sumut Syariah.

The event was officially opened with an opening speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education, USU, Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia, SE., ME., who in her remarks emphasized the importance of financial literacy for lecturers, students, and educational staff as essential preparation for entering the professional world and for managing personal finances wisely.

The socialization session featured speakers from Bank Sumut, namely the Head of the Consumer Section of Bank Sumut, Ahmad Ananda Prawira, and a Bank Sumut Account Officer, Muhammad Mukhlisin Lubis. The speakers presented various Bank Sumut service programs, including consumer financing products and gold pawn services. These services were explained by Ahmad Ananda Prawira as safe and easily accessible financial solutions.

As a form of appreciation for active participation, Bank Sumut provided souvenirs to participants who raised questions during the discussion session. This gesture was intended to encourage active engagement from the academic community and to foster an interactive and communicative discussion atmosphere throughout the event.

During the socialization activity, it was also discussed that Bank Sumut Syariah and the Faculty of Vocational Education, USU, will establish cooperation to support and enhance the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education.

Through this activity, it is expected that the academic community of the Faculty of Vocational Education, USU, will gain broader insights into banking products and services, while also strengthening synergy between educational institutions and the banking sector in supporting the improvement of financial literacy.
