Medan, September 30, 2026 – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, supported the implementation of Self-Enumeration for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) among students living away from home within the Faculty of Vocational Education. The activity was held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the Hall of the Faculty of Vocational Education USU and was guided directly by the Statistics of North Sumatra Province (BPS).

This self-enumeration activity was specifically intended for students of the Faculty of Vocational Education who live around the Universitas Sumatera Utara area, whether they reside in campus/university dormitories, boarding houses, or rented residences.

During the activity, the BPS team of North Sumatra Province provided information and guidance to students regarding the implementation of the SE2026 Self-Enumeration. The assistance was provided to ensure that students understood the objectives, mechanisms, and stages of the enumeration so that they could participate properly in completing the data independently and in accordance with the established provisions.

The SE2026 Self-Enumeration is an important part of supporting the availability of accurate economic data that can serve as a basis for understanding economic conditions and developments. Through this activity, students living away from home also contributed to supporting the implementation of the national economic census.

The Faculty of Vocational Education USU appreciates the BPS of North Sumatra Province for the assistance and education provided to students. This activity is expected to improve students' understanding and awareness of the importance of participating in census activities while encouraging them to support the availability of quality data for development.

With the SE2026 Self-Enumeration, students living away from home are expected to actively participate and provide data that is correct, complete, and consistent with their actual conditions. Student participation is one form of support for providing accurate data to support economic planning and development in the future.
