Medan, August 14, 2026 – The 2026 Campus Life Orientation Program for New Students (PKKMB) at the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), concluded its final day with enthusiasm and excitement. A variety of creative, educational, and entertaining activities marked the third day of PKKMB, providing an opportunity for new students to showcase their talents, build camaraderie, and become more familiar with campus life.

The day began with a morning assembly attended by all new students of the Faculty of Vocational Education. The assembly served as a moment to foster discipline and prepare students for the final day of PKKMB activities.

The excitement continued with the Talent Contest, which provided a platform for new students to showcase their abilities and creativity. Various talents were presented with confidence, ranging from performing arts to other creative skills. The enthusiasm of the participants and support from fellow students made the competition even more lively.

New students also attended a session on “The Identity of USU Simarmuda Students,” delivered by the USU Student Executive Board (BEM USU). The session was an important part of introducing new students to their identity and role within university life while encouraging them to be active, uphold integrity, and make positive contributions throughout their academic journey at USU.

The excitement continued with Art and Action performances by each study program within the Faculty of Vocational Education. Each study program showcased its best creativity through engaging performances. Beyond entertainment, the performances demonstrated the teamwork, confidence, and creativity of new students from each study program.

Amid the series of activities, students also received information through a promotion by Grab, which introduced various services and conveniences that could support students' daily activities.

The atmosphere became even more lively with an introduction and entertainment session by the BEM of the Faculty of Vocational Education, USU. The interaction between new students and BEM Vokasi provided an opportunity to introduce student organizations while fostering a sense of connection and togetherness within the Faculty of Vocational Education.

After participating in various competitions throughout PKKMB, the long-awaited moment arrived with the announcement of the winners of the Yell-Yell Competition, Talent Contest, and Art and Action. The announcements served as an appreciation of the creativity, teamwork, enthusiasm, and courage demonstrated by the new students throughout the PKKMB series.

Joy and cheers filled the venue as the winners were announced. More than a competition, the series of activities provided valuable experiences for new students to learn teamwork, communicate effectively, perform with confidence, and appreciate the learning process.

The culmination of the 2026 USU PKKMB was held at the USU Twin Field with the closing ceremony, which was attended and officially closed by the Rector of USU, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si. In his message to the new students, he encouraged them to make full use of the facilities available across the USU campus to support their learning and personal development. The university's various facilities are expected to be utilized optimally to improve competencies, broaden perspectives, develop interests and talents, and achieve various accomplishments throughout their time at USU.

The PKKMB closing ceremony also featured a dialogue and talk show on financial management for university students. Through this session, students gained an understanding of the importance of managing their finances wisely, including when using various digital financial services. This financial education serves as an important foundation for students to make responsible financial decisions and avoid financial difficulties, including the risks associated with online loans.

The closing series became even more festive with a performance by Bilal Indrajaya, who entertained the new students after three days of PKKMB activities. The performance provided a warm and spirited conclusion to the entire program.

Three days of the 2026 Faculty of Vocational Education USU PKKMB have come to an end. However, the conclusion of PKKMB marks the beginning of a new journey for students to explore university life, develop their potential, achieve accomplishments, and contribute to creating an impactful campus environment.

With the spirit of “Vocational Education as the First Choice,” new students of the Faculty of Vocational Education USU are expected to pursue their university journey with enthusiasm, confidence, and responsibility, becoming competent, creative, adaptive individuals who are ready to contribute to society.
