Medan, Desember 06, 2025 – The Public Sector Accounting Diploma 4 Study Program at the Vocational Faculty of the Universitas Sumatera Utara officially inaugurated the Public Sector Accounting Student Association (HIMASIK) for the 2025-2026 period. This inauguration is an important moment in strengthening the student organization ecosystem within the USU Vocational Faculty.
The inauguration reaffirms the study program's commitment to establishing a well-organized, active student organization focused on developing student competencies. In this decision, the 2026 HIMASIK executive board was given the mandate to carry out the duties, functions, and responsibilities of the organization in accordance with the regulations of the Universitas Sumatera Utara and applicable student affairs provisions.
During the inauguration ceremony, the proceedings were conducted solemnly and attended by faculty members, BEM and student representatives. This moment also served as a space for the new board to convey the organization's vision, work structure, and initial plans to be developed throughout their term. With full support from the study program, HIMASIK is expected to become an organization that is not only administratively active but also productive in initiating activities relevant to students’ needs and the development of the vocational world.
The Head of the Public Sector Accounting Diploma 4 Study Program, Sambas Ade Kesuma, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., CA, emphasized that this inauguration is not merely a ceremonial event but a strategic step in preparing students to face organizational and professional challenges. HIMASIK is expected to become a platform for character development, leadership, critical thinking skills, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. He also mandated all executives to uphold the good name of the program, faculty, and university, and to implement work programs that have an impact on student development.
With this inauguration, the HIMASIK Board for the 2025-2026 period officially begins its journey, which is expected to bring innovation, strengthen academic culture, and enhance student presence within the VOC4SI USU community. Continuous synergy between students, lecturers, and institutions is expected to produce excellent programs that have a real impact.
