On November 25, 2025, the Applied Bachelor’s Program in Applied Chemistry, USU, conducted a field study visit to the Adolina Palm Oil Mill in Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra, to enhance students’ knowledge and experience in the palm oil industry.

The Applied Bachelor’s Program in Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), actively organized an industrial visit to the palm oil sector as part of the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum. This activity aimed to provide students with practical insights into the application of chemistry in real industrial settings.

The field visit was conducted as an implementation of the Palm Oil Industry course that students had previously studied in the classroom. Through this activity, students were able to directly observe industrial processes and gain a deeper understanding of the theoretical concepts learned during lectures.

The visit took place on November 25, 2025, at the Adolina Palm Oil Mill, PTPN IV, located in Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra.
