Pojok Statistik is an innovation in BPS statistical services to improve statistical literacy in higher education institutions. Currently, Pojok Statistik has been established in 108 universities spread across 34 provinces and 49 regencies/cities. Adhering to the principles of collaboration, synergy, and usefulness, Pojok Statistik collaborates with academics and students as statistical agents in organizing services and promoting statistics in higher education institutions. To improve the quality of Pojok Statistik implementation, BPS held the "Evaluation of Pojok Statistik Implementation in Higher Education Institutions" from October 29 to November 1, 2023, in D.I. Yogyakarta. The Deputy opened the event for Methodology and Statistical Information of BPS. The event was attended by the Director of Statistical Dissemination of BPS and his staff, the Head of BPS Province D.I. Yogyakarta, the Rector of Universitas Panca Bhakti, the Head of the Statistics Department of Universitas Islam Indonesia as a representative of the Indonesian Forum of Statistics Higher Education Institutions, as well as 102 participants from 34 provinces in Indonesia consisting of the Head of the BPS Pojok Statistik Team, lecturers and university representatives as Pojok Statistik Coordinators, and student representatives as Statistical Agents.
This event lasted for two days. On October 30, 2023, discussions were held about the implementation of Pojok Statistik 2023, the presentation of thematic programs, alignment of Pojok Statistik activities with the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Program in the Pojok Statistik Coordinator class, and introduction of statistical indicators and infographic preparation for Statistical Agent Students. Then, on October 31, 2023, participants benchmarked at Pojok Statistik Universitas Islam Indonesia to see Pojok Statistik UII's advantages in management and administration. This activity's results manifest collaborative statistical development through the implementation of programs and activities to improve statistical literacy. It is also hoped that Pojok Statistik can serve as a basis for formulating strategies to enhance the implementation of Pojok Statistik in a better and more quality manner to support statistical development in Indonesia.
