Medan, June 20, 2025 – The Faculty of Vocational Education at Universitas Sumatera Utara once again demonstrated its commitment to encouraging student achievement by organizing the 2025 Selection of Outstanding Students (PILMAPRES). The event was held at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Vocational Education USU, with 16 top finalists from various study programs who had passed a rigorous administrative selection process.
Vice Dean I, Dr. Drs. Muhammad Husni Thamrin, M.Si., officially opened the event and was hosted by Marina Wulandari Nasution, S.Si., M.Si., as Master of Ceremonies. The activity received full support from the faculty leadership, heads and secretaries of study programs, supervising lecturers, and the panel of judges who evaluated and mentored the finalists.
In his speech, the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Vocational Education expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm and hard work of all finalists who had prepared themselves thoroughly. He hoped this event would serve as a platform to foster motivation for achievement and cultivate a sense of social responsibility among students, so they may later contribute more broadly to society. During the presentation stage, the finalists delivered their scientific papers, creative ideas, and innovations before a panel of judges consisting of Dr. Yasmin Chairunisa Muchtar, S.P., MBA.; Sambas Ade Kesuma, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., CA.; and Ameilia Zuliyanti Siregar, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D.
Each finalist presented innovative ideas expected to make tangible contributions to the development of science and social progress within the campus and the wider community. After a thorough evaluation, the PILMAPRES Faculty of Vocational Education USU 2025 winners were announced directly by the judge representative, Dr. Yasmin Chairunisa Muchtar, S.P., MBA.

The 2025 PILMAPRES event at the Faculty of Vocational Education USU is expected to continue serving as a positive forum for fostering a spirit of healthy competition among students while preparing them to represent the faculty at the university level and even on the national stage. May your achievements become motivation to continue creating and bringing honor to the Faculty of Vocational Education at Universitas Sumatera Utara on a broader scale.
