Friday, July 12, 2024 - The Diploma Program in Library Science participated in the Library Seminar organized by the MPR RI with the theme "Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a Knowledge Management Technology for the Future Library: Challenge or Threat to Librarians?" at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara.

In addition, the seminar was preceded by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Implementation Agreement (IA) between the MPR RI Library and the Faculty of Cultural Sciences and between the MPR RI Library and the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Lecturers and students from the undergraduate and diploma programs in Library Science attended the seminar.
A souvenir was presented to the MPR RI Library, represented by Drs. Gustanto, M. Hum, Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Vocational Education, USU. It is hoped that this event will benefit the students, the study program, and the involved faculties optimally.
