The Faculty of Vocational Studies held a Seminar on Entering the World of Work with the theme “Get Ready For Professional Journey” on Friday, March 01, 2024, at the USU Faculty of Pharmacy Hall. Ade Mayasari Nasution, S.Psi, as the speaker at this activity, explained that entering the world of work is very necessary, which is called professionalism, which means attitude, behavior, and quality of work that reflects the competence of integrity, responsibility, and ethics in carrying out tasks or work in accordance with the standards set in a particular profession or field of work. In the material presented, there are three important points that must be considered when applying for a job at a company/agency: Professional Grooming, Curriculum Vitae (CV), and Interview. In the question from interviewers, we need to use the (S T A R) method, namely situation: explaining what situation we are experiencing that is asked by the interviewer, Task: providing an explanation of the cause of the situation we are experiencing, action: providing an explanation of what actions/solutions we must do to solve the problem, and result: explaining what results are obtained after taking action on a problem.
The Faculty of Vocational Studies gave souvenirs to speaker Ade Mayasari Nasution, S.Psi at the Entering the World of Work Seminar with the theme “Get Ready For Professional Journey” as a reminder to the speakers for their good cooperation during the activity.
