Medan, September 2, 2026 — The Diploma Program in Metrology and Instrumentation, Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held a Sharing Session with Alumni and Graduate Employers: Developing Competencies and Strengthening the Metrology Alumni Network.
The activity served as a forum for fostering connections, exchanging experiences, and gathering input on graduate competency development in line with the needs of the workplace and industry.
The session provided a platform for discussion among the study program, alumni, and graduate employers on various aspects of technical competencies, supporting skills, workplace needs, and graduate quality development to ensure greater relevance to technological developments and professional demands in the fields of metrology and instrumentation.
In addition to discussing graduate competency development, the activity also served as an important momentum for establishing and strengthening the Metrology Alumni Association. The alumni association is expected to provide a platform for strengthening relationships among alumni, building professional networks, and making meaningful contributions to the development of the Diploma Program in Metrology and Instrumentation.
Through this activity, stronger collaboration is expected to be established among the study program, alumni, and graduate employers in developing graduates who are competent, adaptive, professional, and capable of responding to workplace needs.
