
The Tax Center of Universitas Sumatera Utara has once again gained national recognition through an event organized by the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT). At the Kickoff Ngabuburit Spectaxcular 2026 event, the Tax Center of Universitas Sumatera Utara successfully received the Best Collaboration & Partnership award in the Best Practice Tax Center Indonesia presentation competition.
The award was announced on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Cakti Buddhi Bhakti Auditorium, Mar’ie Muhammad Building, DGT Headquarters, Jakarta. The event was conducted in a hybrid format and attended by various Tax Centers from universities across Indonesia. This event is one of DGT’s initiatives to appreciate Tax Centers that actively contribute to strengthening tax literacy and encouraging increased tax compliance within the community.
The Best Practice Tax Center Indonesia presentation competition aims to showcase and recognize outstanding practices carried out by Tax Centers in fulfilling their roles, ranging from tax education activities, taxpayer assistance, program innovation development, to building collaborative networks with various stakeholders. The evaluation was conducted based on program benefits, level of innovation, impact generated, and sustainability of the initiatives.
The Best Collaboration & Partnership title awarded to the Tax Center of Universitas Sumatera Utara reflects its success in building strong partnerships with various stakeholders, including the DGT, educational institutions, communities, and professional partners in the taxation sector. Through these partnerships, various tax education and awareness programs have been implemented more broadly and sustainably.
This award also serves as motivation for the Tax Center of Universitas Sumatera Utara to further strengthen its role as a center for tax education, expand strategic collaboration networks, and deliver programs that make a tangible contribution to improving tax literacy and compliance in Indonesia.
