Thursday, July 17, 2025 — The Diploma Program in Metrology and Instrumentation of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), conducted an industrial visit to PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (INALUM) — one of the largest aluminum smelting companies in Indonesia. Learning activities do not only take place in the classroom, but also extend into the industrial world.
During this visit, students gained deep insights into the aluminum production process, which is carried out according to high standards, and how metrology and instrumentation play a crucial role in ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in industrial operations. We express our sincere gratitude to PT INALUM for the warm welcome and valuable opportunity. We hope this visit motivates our students to continue learning, growing, and preparing to enter the workforce with more targeted knowledge and readiness.
