Medan, May 30, 2026 – Students of the Applied Bachelor's Program in Digital Office Administration, Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), participated in a Table Manners practicum at Grand City Hall Hotel Medan. The activity formed part of the learning process, providing students with hands-on experience in understanding the etiquette and protocols of formal dining in professional settings.

The Table Manners practicum was designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required for formal dining etiquette, professional dining protocols, and hospitality practices that are essential in the workplace. These competencies not only strengthen students' technical abilities but also foster professionalism, self-confidence, and effective interpersonal skills in formal situations.

Guided by professional hotel instructors, the students gained practical experience in applying international table manners, ranging from proper dining etiquette to appropriate conduct in professional environments. This experiential learning opportunity enabled students to bridge classroom theory with real-world practices aligned with industry expectations.

The activity was directly supervised by the Head of the Applied Bachelor's Program in Digital Office Administration, Dr. Fivi Rahmatus Sofiyah, S.E., M.Si. Her guidance ensured that the practicum was conducted in accordance with the intended learning outcomes while providing students with a meaningful and enriching educational experience.

Through this Table Manners practicum, the Applied Bachelor's Program in Digital Office Administration continues to promote the development of students' soft skills, professional etiquette, and career readiness. The experience is expected to prepare students to become more confident, professional, and adaptable in navigating the increasingly competitive business and professional environment.
