Medan – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), has officially appointed the 2026 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Ambassadors of the Faculty of Vocational Education. The appointment followed a selection process designed to identify outstanding students who demonstrate strong understanding, awareness, and commitment to sustainable development issues.
Based on the selection results, Patrick Nixon Hutabarat from the Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Public Sector Accounting and Fauzan Najril Syahada from the Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Applied Chemistry were selected as the 2026 SDGs Ambassadors of the Faculty of Vocational Education. Both students were recognized for their strong communication skills, broad knowledge of the SDGs, and enthusiasm for becoming agents of change in promoting sustainable development values within the university and the wider community.
The selection of the SDGs Ambassadors reflects the Faculty of Vocational Education's commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals by actively engaging students as the younger generation in promoting awareness and the implementation of the SDGs. The ambassadors are expected to inspire the academic community to become more engaged with global issues, including education, the environment, health, equality, and inclusive and sustainable economic development.
As the 2026 SDGs Ambassadors of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Patrick Nixon Hutabarat and Fauzan Najril Syahada have been entrusted with representing the faculty in promoting the spirit of sustainable development. They will also advance to the next stage of the selection process, competing for the title of Universitas Sumatera Utara SDGs Ambassadors.
The Faculty of Vocational Education extends its appreciation to all students who participated in the selection process and congratulates the two selected ambassadors. It is hoped that the 2026 SDGs Ambassadors of the Faculty of Vocational Education will carry out their responsibilities with dedication, serve as role models for fellow students, and proudly represent the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, at the university level and in various initiatives that support the sustainable development agenda.
