Medan, 9 July 2026 – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), organized a Performance Contract Socialization and Coordination Meeting in preparation for the 2026/2027 Odd Semester at the Faculty Auditorium. The event served as a strategic initiative to align institutional performance targets while strengthening academic and administrative preparedness ahead of the new semester.

The meeting was attended by the Faculty's Dean and Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs, faculty members, the Head of Administration, Heads of Administrative Subdivisions, and educational staff. Through this coordination forum, faculty leaders and the academic community reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration in building effective, accountable, and quality-oriented faculty governance.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia, S.E., M.E., who delivered the faculty's strategic policy directions and presented the Performance Contract for Heads of Study Programs serving the 2026–2031 term. In her presentation, the Dean emphasized the importance of a shared commitment to achieving the faculty's strategic objectives in alignment with the vision of Universitas Sumatera Utara.

She explained that the performance contract should not be viewed merely as an administrative document, but rather as a collective commitment to promoting professional, transparent, and results-oriented governance. Each study program is expected to translate institutional performance targets into measurable, innovative work plans that contribute meaningfully to enhancing the quality of vocational education.

The next session featured a presentation by the Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Dr. Solahuddin Nasution, S.E., M.SP., who discussed preparations for the 2026/2027 Odd Semester. His presentation covered teaching and learning readiness, implementation of the academic calendar, enhancement of student services, and strategic measures to ensure that academic activities commence smoothly from the beginning of the semester.

This was followed by a presentation from the Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Academic Infrastructure, Dr. Yasmin Chairunisa Muchtar, SP., MBA., who outlined policies related to administrative management, financial administration, human resource development, and the readiness of learning facilities and infrastructure. She also highlighted the importance of effective coordination among administrative units to ensure high-quality services for faculty members, students, and other stakeholders.

The final presentation was delivered by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Internationalization, Junedi Ginting, S.Si., M.Si., who discussed strategies for strengthening research performance, community engagement, institutional partnerships, and internationalization initiatives. Faculty members and study programs were encouraged to enhance academic productivity through scientific publications, innovation, collaboration with strategic partners, and activities that strengthen the Faculty of Vocational Education's reputation at both the national and international levels.

Through this socialization program and coordination meeting, the Faculty of Vocational Education aims to ensure that all faculty leaders, academic staff, and educational personnel share a common understanding of the faculty's performance targets and are fully prepared for the 2026/2027 Odd Semester. With strong synergy, commitment, and coordination, the Faculty remains optimistic about continuously improving institutional governance, academic services, and the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in a sustainable manner.
