The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a Punggahan event to welcome the month of Ramadan 1447 H

Medan, February 9, 2026 – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a Punggahan event to welcome the month of Ramadan 1447 H as an expression of gratitude and preparation for welcoming the blessed month. The event took place in Classrooms 305–306, Building B of the USU Faculty of Vocational Education. The activity was conducted in a solemn and warm atmosphere and was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and educational staff.

The Punggahan event was opened with remarks by the Dean of the USU Faculty of Vocational Education, Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia, S.E., M.E., who conveyed that this momentum is expected to strengthen the bonds of fellowship within the extended family of the Faculty of Vocational Education while also serving as a moment of self-reflection before entering the month of Ramadan. She also emphasized the importance of maintaining harmony and a spirit of togetherness in carrying out both academic and non-academic activities during the holy month.

The series of activities then continued with a brief address from a lecturer of the D3 English Study Program, Drs. Siamir Maralafau, M.Hum, which contained an invitation to enhance worship, improve relationships with others, and make use of Ramadan as an opportunity to increase good deeds. The atmosphere of the event became even warmer with a joint prayer session offered for the smooth running of faculty activities and blessings for all members of the academic community.

Through the organization of this Punggahan event, the USU Faculty of Vocational Education hopes that the entire extended family of the faculty can begin the month of Ramadan 1447 H with pure hearts, full of gratitude, and a strong spirit of togetherness.
