Medan, July 15, 2026 – The Faculty of Vocational Education at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a strategic coordination meeting focused on aligning the management of human resources, finance, and assets across all study programs. The meeting, held at the Faculty of Vocational Education Hall, was attended by the Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs, Head of Administration, Heads of Subdivisions, Dean's Advisors, and administrative staff within the faculty.
The meeting was chaired by the Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Academic Infrastructure, Dr. Yasmin Chairunisa Muchtar, S.P., MBA, who emphasized the importance of establishing a shared understanding and strengthening coordination among all units to support effective, efficient, and integrated faculty governance. During the discussion, participants were informed that various administrative services, particularly those related to permit requests and personnel administration, are now available through the faculty's website. This initiative is expected to improve service accessibility for the academic community while enhancing administrative efficiency through a more digitalized system.
The meeting also addressed the procedures for teaching budget requests and laboratory budget requests as part of the faculty's efforts to ensure that the academic needs of each study program are met promptly and in accordance with established procedures. Participants received detailed explanations regarding the submission process, inter-unit coordination, and the importance of complete administrative documentation for every request.
Regarding asset management, participants were encouraged to strengthen their commitment to maintaining the Faculty of Vocational Education's facilities and infrastructure. All members of the academic community are expected to work together to preserve these assets. Hence, they remain in good condition, comfortable, and suitable for supporting both academic and non-academic activities.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of understanding the faculty's room reservation procedures. With a clear and standardized system in place, room utilization is expected to become more organized, properly scheduled, and supportive of various activities at both the faculty and study program levels.
Through this coordination meeting, the Faculty of Vocational Education continues to strengthen collaboration among its organizational units in promoting professional, accountable, and service-oriented governance. The outcomes of the meeting are expected to serve as shared guidelines for administrative operations, financial management, and optimal asset utilization to support the achievement of the vision and mission of the Faculty of Vocational Education at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
