Medan, February 3, 2026 — More exciting news has arrived from the Public Sector Accounting Diploma 4 Study Program. One of the top students, Fathiyah Muthmainnah, was officially inaugurated as the 2026 North Sumatra Young Ambassador after a competitive selection process. Of the hundreds of participants who took part in the event, only 24 of the best male and female pairs were selected for the final round.
This North Sumatra Young Ambassador was a first event for Fathiyah. She admitted that she initially felt inferior when she saw the other participants, who were mostly more senior, already in their later semesters, some even working on their theses, and had experience in various previous ambassador events. However, with determination and prayer, Fathiyah made it to the final round and was declared successful.
"I certainly feel very grateful and proud. Initially, I didn't expect to make it to the final stage because of the incredible competition. Thank God, this is a blessing and a mandate that I must fulfill well," she said.
Fathiyah learned about this event through social media while scrolling through her social media feed. She also remembered that one of her friends had participated in a similar event in 2024. Her interest grew after seeing the various activities and benefits the finalists received, from external connections to community service experiences.
During the selection and training process, Fathiyah admitted she didn't encounter any significant obstacles. She actually felt a supportive atmosphere from fellow participants and the committee. From this process, she learned a lot about discipline, from time management, self-management until consistency in daily activities.
“Being a youth ambassador is not just about wearing a sash or title, but about how we can be motivators and role models for other young people to continue to develop and do positive and meaningful things,” she said.
During the quarantine, Fathiyah has designed a program titled "Brave Youth." This program was planned in the form of socialization to schools, webinars featuring Young Ambassador alumni as inspirers, and utilizing social media to disseminate educational content. Furthermore, she has initiated the creation of a forum or channel to share information about scholarships, tips for boosting self-confidence, and various youth competitions and activities so that students can actively participate according to their interests and fields.
Going forward, she hopes to carry out this mandate responsibly and provide tangible benefits to the community. She also encourages other students to excel not only academically but also actively participate in non-academic activities that have a social impact.
"I hope I can carry out this task well and inspire my friends to continue achieving, not only academically but also through community service," she concluded.
This achievement proves that Public Sector Accounting Diploma 4 students not only superior in academic and professional competencies, but also capable of emerging as a generation of young people with character and are ready to make a real contribution to North Sumatra.
